This Privacy Policy describes how Beyond Ordinary Events, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, stores, uses, discloses, and transfers your Personal Information (as defined below) through your use of our websites, mobile apps, or events (“Services”). This Privacy Policy applies to all Services where it is linked or referenced, including on our event websites.  By accessing and using our Services or attending events, you acknowledge you have read and understood our privacy practices as described in this Privacy Policy.

The term “Personal Information” as used herein includes any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or household, and includes any information that is subject to applicable data protection laws.

Depending on how you interact with our Services, we may collect the following information:

• Communications between you and Company. When you communicate with us, such as through e-mail, text message, or by submitting an inquiry through a request form on our website, we may collect and save a record of your communication and any Personal Information provided during the communication.
• Registration information. When you register to attend our event, or register for a user account on our Services, we will ask you for certain Personal Information such as your name, contact information, and other registration details and preferences like payment information.
• Exhibitor and Sponsorship information. If you are an exhibitor, partner or sponsor for one of our events, we may collect additional information about you and/or your entity, including your name, contact information, and payment information.
• Information you provide to us. When you request information from us, contact us, or join our email list, we collect Personal Information in order to communicate with you and send you communications, including marketing communications that you opt-in to.
• Automatically collected technical information such as traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Site.
• Device information. Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.
• Information collected from third parties: From time to time, we may receive the categories of personal information described above from authorized third parties and sources other than through our Service, such as our partners and exhibitors. This may happen, for example, if:
  • Your employer is exhibiting or sponsoring an event and signs you up for the event or shares your contact details for purposes of event coordination.
  • A co-sponsor of an event provides us with your contact details for purposes of communications about the event, your participation, or for event coordination.

How We Use Information Collected

We use the Personal Information we collect from you for the following purposes:

• To provide our Services.
• To notify you of offers or promotions that we believe may be of interest to you, or send you marketing materials, including our newsletter.
• To send you information about events and how to register as a sponsor or exhibitor.
• To process your event registration.
• To perform actions at your direction and to respond to inquiries.
• To improve user experiences by making our Services easier to use and navigate.
• To develop and test new services and features.
• For other legitimate business purposes.

How We Share and/or Disclose Information

We may share or disclose information to the following categories of third parties and for the following reasons:

• Service Providers or Processors. We may disclose information to third-party service providers or contractors (processors) who use this information to perform services for us, such as hosting providers, auditors, advisors, consultants, customer service and/or support providers and other similar service providers.
• Event Sponsors and Partners. We may share information with third parties that sponsor our events or otherwise partner with us to provide the Services. For example, we may share the list of event attendees with our event sponsors or exhibitors.
• Advertising and Marketing Partners. We may share information with third parties that provide advertising, campaign measurement, promotions, online and/or mobile analytics, and related services. These third parties may receive or access browsing and/or other data about your use of the Services, in order to measure our ad campaigns, and/or to better understand how individuals interact with our Services. These third parties may also offer you products or services that we believe are of interest to you.
• Related Entities. We may share information with our parent companies, subsidiaries, or other related entities.
• Law Enforcement. Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

We may remove identifying data from your Personal Information and share such de-identified data with other parties for any lawful purpose.  We may also combine your Personal Information with other information so that it is no longer associated personally with you, and share that aggregated data.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and other technologies, which may be provided by third parties, on our Services to enable certain functionality and for security and fraud detection and prevention, as well as to collect usage information about our Website and the emails that we send and to personalize content and provide more relevant ads and information. We may combine the information we collect via these technologies with other information, including Personal information.

Pixel tags and embedded script (aka clear GIFs and web beacons). Pixel tags are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on your computer’s hard drive, pixel tags are embedded invisibly on web pages. We may use these, in connection with our Website to, among other things, track the activities of the users of our Services, improve ads, personalize and manage content, and gather usage information about our Website. We may also use these in HTML emails to help us track email response rates, identify when our emails are viewed, and track whether our emails are forwarded.

Third-Party Analytics Tools. Our Website uses automated devices and applications operated by third parties, such as Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about use of the Website and report on activities and trends. This service may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps and online resources. Do Not Track

We do not currently recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals sent by web browsers, mobile devices, or other mechanisms. Third parties may be able to collect information, including Personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites or online services when you use the Services. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to ensure the security of your Personal Information.  Please understand, however, that no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you understand that any information that you transfer to us is done at your own risk.

Third Party Links and Site

Our Services may include links to third party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the information (including Personal Information) collected on any third party website or service over which we have no influence or control.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third party websites or services.  Accordingly, we recommend that you review the privacy policies on any such third-party website or services.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children.  We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children, and none of our Site are designed to attract children.  In the event that we learn that a person under the age of 13 has provided Personal Information to us, we will delete such Personal Information as soon as possible.

California Shine the Light

Where applicable, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Nevada Residents

If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain Personal Information to third parties who intend to license or sell that Personal Information. Users Outside of the United States.

If you access the Service from outside of the United States, by visiting the Service and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that your personal information may be processed for the purposes identified in the Privacy Policy. In addition, your personal information may be processed in the country in which it was collected and in other countries, including the United States, where laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent than the laws in your country. By providing your personal information, you consent to such transfer.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will also revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.  We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to keep up to date on how we are handling your Personal Information.
